Oprah has no idea who I am, but I decided to join in solidarity with Chris Rose, whose new book isn’t supposed to be very good and will not be seen on Oprah.

In short, Oprah interviewed him (but not about his book), then said they’d kill the interview unless he signed an agreement not to write about the process. He said, more or less, go to hell. Which, of course, is awesome.
I do wonder whether he’d have said that if the interview was about his book. At that point, killing the story would have cost him tons of cash. But since they didn’t talk about it, what does he care?
Interestingly, after all that (but you really do have to read the article), his book made the cut anyway.
